This is Steve -
named after Steve Sublette
because he asked so many
questions about cows!
Leslie Laird raised him
for 4-H this year.

Here's the pair of Steves.

After working hard all summer feeding, training and caring for Steve, the big day finally arrived when Leslie took him to the Ouray County Fair in Ridgway.
(Can you see any resemblance between the 2 Steves?)

The judge thought so too!

It was another good year for Leslie at the Fair!
She won Grand Champion with her horse, Ginger, on Friday. Then Saturday won Grand Champion with her steer, Steve, as well as Champion in Showmanship and Round Robin!
Good job, Leslie!
Then Monday morning, Leslie rode in the parade with her friend, Sierra.
