Imogene Pass

Friday, July 27th, we loaded up Lucy and Wayne and headed up Camp Bird Road into Yankee Boy Basin along the shelf road.
|

|
Just beyond the Camp Bird Mine is the turnoff from Yankee Boy up to Imogene Pass. Turn left then cross the stream.
|
|
|
|
You get a great view of Camp Bird Mine!

There are several stream crossings.

Cross another stream.
This way to Imogene.

Looking across this bowl you can see the road winding its way up to the summit.

Then we headed up through
gorgeous wildflowers!

Wayne climbs the last stretch up to the summit.
|
|
|
|
You'll get no argument from us!
|
|
|
Now for the rest of the trip down through the ghost town of Tomboy and into Telluride...
|
