Mid May...
At about 12-13 weeks, they look like "real chickens" as Domino herds them around the corner.
|
|
|
|
|
The coop is now done.
|
|
|
|
They love their play yard - complete with a "jungle gym".
While "free ranging" they go down to our pond for a drink.
|
|
|
|
|
Uh-oh, we think Whoa's Brother is turning out to be a rooster!

It's late June and the chickens love to "free range" all around the place.
They often come on the patio and peek in the sliding door!
Here Foghorn walked up on Domino crouching in the grass to spring on something. Domino got the surprise instead!

It's the last day of June.
Every morning Steve goes out to let the chickens out.
They wait for him, then rush out after him like the Pied Piper! And hope to get a hand out!

4th of July at Sublette Chicken Ranch was a bang!
OUR FIRST EGG ARRIVED!
We weren't expecting eggs yet so haven't been checking. While Steve was cleaning the coop on 7/5 he found 2 little eggs in the nests!
Foghorn (our Leghorn) was the first to produce eggs. 1 each day of the 3-day holiday weekend!
