Box Factory Park

On September 1st, we took Barb's sister, Louise, out for some jeepin while she was here for the Labor Day festivities.
This is a relatively short trip, close to Ridgway. Take West Dallas Creek off Hwy 62 before you reach Dallas Divide. Go through the arch way entrance for Double R L Ranch. This is part of Ralph Lauren's ranch, but the road is public access through his property.

Box Factory Park is at the base of Mount Sneffels Wilderness.
We decided not to hike around on this trip since it was opening day of archery hunting season. We saw five hunting camps here and men walking around in camouflage carrying bows and arrows!
Maybe next trip - before hunting season - we'll do some hiking! There are a couple trail heads accessed from this area.

Steve found this "little gem" on the trip. When we got home he hauled it over to the big pond.
